I just thought I'd plant things in your heads!

I'm a member of a US based Web forum for Porsches. I run a 944 Turbo myself. Well a while ago, a members highly modified car was stolen. Police had nothing for ages. Then during this week, they found the car. It was in a chop shop amongst other high performance Ferraris and Scoobys. Totally stripped.

As if that wasn't bad enough, it turned out that the guy who ran the shop was an active member of the forum, and had been selling parts on there for years. He'd even recently advertised the damned wheels on the forum for sale!! It seems that the Webmaster has now been co-operating with the victims lawyer & police to search out all his past adverts and posts to find out whats been going on.

It also seems that the thieving git found the location of the car through the forum. I won't say how.

Just be careful out there lads and lasses.

Another reason to cover your number plates when posting pics of your cars. NOT that I suspect anyone on this forum would stoop to such a low level.
