For Howard, it's WHITE

looks like the rather sad remains of an R107

someone should point out the difference to the seller between projects that are "unfinished" and "unstarted".

it will be interesting to see if anyone is daft enough to bid on that :)

That is one of the worst constructed listings I've ever seen. My 5yr old son can construct better grammer than that.

and it's only 230cc who wants an SL w/ only 230cc and da ignlish is raely badd m888

Doh Ray Me .... i think its only white where the paint has faded so much , need s a good Zymoling !!

The start price of five hundred notes ??? shes gotta be having a laugh, she'd have to give me five hundred quid to take it away !!

That interior looks like Indiana Jones could come bursting out at any monent with a gold idol in his mitts.....

Think she's stuck with that personally.......

Agreed Bear, it's definitely a W114 and if it's a cabriolet (which the listing implies) then somebody will probably decide it's worth restoring

Andy

Not sure its a cab ......

it has chrome rails running the length of the roof, and a glass rear screen with a chrome surround.

Could it be its a hard top but with a vinyl roof, as beloved by so many seventies cars ?

Just speculating

as far as I know, only the coupes and cabs (with removeable hard tops) had the chrome strips along the roof - just speculating here really, we should ask for better photos :)

Andy

Ah !! thats my argument sunk then .... lol

Does this pic need rotating or do you think the owener STORED that car this way?

No Garage for off road parking but a convenient alleyway nearby :D

As MB never made a 114 cab I suspect the dope that wrote the ad is at fault. The other clue to it not being a cab,is if it was the rear window would be smaller and part of the roof covering.
Is it 500 quid or more likely the weight of the rust in pounds ;)

you are right Bear (despite that image) so it must be a coupe (or at least what is left of one)

Andy

Another seller suffering from the delusion that as it's a Merc it must be worth alot :( They'll never learn.

Agreed

I've been looking around for the last few weeks and the vast majority of the older ones aren't making (or even getting anywhere near) the reserves people are setting.

Sooner or later I'll find one that's priced sensibly :)

Andy

Andy which model are you looking for?
