that ad was going so well until it got to the bit about the rust "don't worry we've sprayed over it and not bothered doing anything to the interior".

As far as I'm concerned the jury is out on low riders - some of them look stunning (there's a cadillac deville around here which is awesome) and some look naff but I think the 190 is just a bit too "chunky" to carry the look off.

6 bids yes but that's still below it's parts value which is where I suspect it's future lies

For me it doesn't go far enough. I'd add fluffy leopard skin seat covers and dash. Loving those white walls. Needs to be a convertible really.

haha, what a laugh, it actually looks like a fun car, needs a total leather re-trim! c`mon guys adds the fun factor into what young people would normal call "an old mans car" my opinion... its quiet cool!! ... (not that id buy it, but im not gonna diss it!)

Maybe I'm getting old (still under 35 . . . just) but I don't think I'd have thought that was cool even when I was 20. To each his own I guess . . .

I saw a steering wheel like that in a Cheech and Chong film once .....

If it was cheap enough i'd have it as a comedy runaround , i'd have to buy some platform shoes with goldfish in the heels though and a white fur coat ....

If it was done properly and as you say, retrimmed in leather ( white mind ) it would be uber-cool !!

EDIT :- just noticed it has hydraulic shocks too

No doubt someone has put some time, money and effort into the car. Even the white-walls suit the overall theme.

The wheel is from America, chain wheels are usually used on hot rods over there, and in Europe they are beginning to become common place on top flight euro motors that have been modified.

It's worth a bid just for the hydraulics alone, cost serious amount of money for those pumps, £1500 upwards at least.

Have any of you seen the current SL in suspension test/run-in mode ? I've watched my SL been put in this mode, where it does exactly what a low-rider's suspension does. Theres 3 modes, the one I remember is "rodeo" mode, where it behaves like a rodeo horse.

Dire warnings come up on the star diagnosis machine about keeping your body parts away from the car whilst this test is in progress.
