I remember sitting in one of these in a garage in the 80s in Congleton Cheshire. Ithought it was the nuts!
Now I don't even like the shape of it. Nice piece of motoring history though and only 200 made it's a very rare car.
A few more years back I was visiting Lord Hesketh's estate near Towcester and was asked if I would like a peek in the grain store. Instead of piles of wheat there were 20+ of these awaiting eventual owners. Since both Cosworth and Ilmor are not far away I presume one or other had a hand in building the required run.
A friend of mine has a modified one with over 600 bhp and it is the quickest car i have been in for sure. We chased an R1 off of a roundabout and it stuck with it
You cannot use them in the winter though, as the salt on the road kills the underneath of them
