Hi all,

I can't find many faults with my purchase so far (2009 E500 5.5V8) other than the steering wheel has obviously been fashioned on that of a HGV.

One thing I did notice missing is highlighted in these photos. A plate sort of thing which is obviously pushed onto the caliper face. The nearside front is missing.IMG_20190822_155226-01.jpeg IMG_20190822_155240-01.jpeg

I have no idea what it is called so wondered if you could help by 1 naming it and 2 pointing me in the direction of finding a suitable replacement.

Thanks, Jamie

Might be a Brake caliper trim plate with Mercedes Benz written on it---some models with bigger brakes came with them. In your case black writing on a silver base- burned off long ago- you may be able to buy them or the plates may come with the caliper only. post up your chassis no.

They don’t come in gold, your calipers have been painted aftermarket

Ahh ok. Well I wish they hadn't lol.

If it's just a "fashion" accessory and a bit of branding then I'll do fine without it

Thank you

Jamie
