VIN WDD2120252A069730

My car is a Sport model with the OM642.....
Can anyone confirm the part number...can't see any paint marks on the springs.

Partsouq thought it might be A 212 321 14 04 ...but there seem to be several versions of the same part number. TIA.

The springs may have been replaced with non MB hence no markings. Main dealer will source the correct part via the VIN or data card. Springs are determined by what options the car has using a points system.

Does the partsouq number not allow for my cars individual spec?.....it knows which extras I have... thats where A 212 321 14 04 came from.

A 212 324 13 04

Just looked through my service bills and MOT history....both front springs were replaced with genuine Mercedes parts in 2022 at 82000 miles.....thats just 17,000 miles and three years ago!!! On that basis alone (nothing to do with saving money of course!!) I'll be using after market parts. Yet again, Merc quality at its very best!!!

I went through several springs both MB and after market before fitting Eibach. The problem with after market stuff is ride height, claims of OE spec are often not so and you finish up with it too high.

I just used Sachs springs all round on both cars , from AUTODOC, they have info on the colours to cross match .

Try Partsouq, musch more relaible than AutoDoc. Then cross-refer geniune MB part numbers to aftermarket.

Or just go to MB and get the right stuff.

The partsouq sourced number I quoted in post appear to be wrong....see post 7.

See post 9 as to why don't be getting Mercedes ones!

You can probably get some goodwill on those original springs.

Correct springs are vital. We only buy from MB (unless lowering) as ride height differences can be very noticeable on aftermarket standard springs.

The stock front springs on my 2006 S203 C55 AMG were made by Eibach . The replacements I bought from Mercedes Benz recently had the MB part number printed on them along with Eibach and the 'legend that is AMG' (add 40% to price :p) , I replaced them as part of a full suspension re fresh not because they had snapped.

I was tempted to shot blast and paint them, put them to one side 'for a rainy day' . I scrapped them instead.

PS . Both Eibach Germany and Eibach UK refused to sell front AMG springs to me , I had to order them from MB UK , no big deal , they weren't that expensive.
