Fuel pump relay 300ce is it stuck?

Hi I have just bought my first 1988 300ce. it's struggling to start and I think I have narrowed it down to the fuel pump relay. I have tried to pull it out but it's not coming the cover has come off exposing the insides and if I push one of the energyzers across the fuel pump runs so I'm thinking the relay is faultly. Does it just pull out? Please let me know thanks Ged.

yes , it should just pull out .

Once you get it out , look at the soldering on the board - it is not unusual for dry joints to develop and resoldering often fixes the problem .

Thanks for the quick reply. I gave it a bit more force to get it out now I new it should come out and some one had put silicone sealer around it. And the past posts were correct I resoldered all the joints and the two prongs I broke removing it and she runs a gooden. Yeh baby:bannana: now onto the next issues
