Fuse for 12V supply in boot?

The 12V power supply point in the boot of my C180 estate (W203) is not working.

The closest thing on the fuse diagram seemed to be fuse 47 (cigar lighter / glovebox light) and on checking those weren't working either (I hadn't noticed).

So I replaced fuse 47 (and yes, the old one was blown). That fixed the cigar lighter / glovebox light. But still no go on the 12V boot supply

Any ideas please? Is there another fuse, not shown on the diagram, for the 12V boot supply?

guy,

there may be another fuse box in the boot, what are you trying 2 fix?

OK I've had another look at the fuse listing/diagram and there's an item "Power socket, boot (SE) " listed as fuse no 12 in the boot.

There's no fuse in space no 12 on my car. I put one in but still no good.

I suppose the "(SE)" in the listing means you only get the power supply on a SE-spec car? (Mine isn't.)

Guy,
the fuse for the luggage compartment power socket must be in the fuse box for the boot, especially as the power socket is only six inches away from this fuse box.

If fuse 12 you refer to is at the luggage compartment fuse box I suggest you check there is power to the fuse holder itself.

Failing this resort to the old trick of checking all the fuses in that box (there are only about 15 after all).

Guy,
just checked the fuse listing for my father's 2002 model saloon - this too lists fuse 12 in the boot for the power socket. Also says SE in brackets after it, but since the std and SE variants weren't available November 2001 when the car was bought then the SE is either for other markets or something other than SE model. I noticed there is another item with SA in brackets after it.

OK thanks...maybe I'll get round to checking the full set of fuses in the boot sometime.
