Gear box - 6 speeds

Hello! Can I put a 6 speed gear box on my C200 kompressor (from 1997)?
Mine is 5 manual...

i doubt it. are they not different engines and do you mean C230 kompressor? or have you got a c200 kompressor form 1997?

NO my car IS a C200 Kompressor (from 1997).

There should be no reason why you cant if MB make a 6 speed box the bell housing should be the same

the 202025 was the first, followed by 2 more, so it could be 97

Not sure about that. I have just checked my records and i can only see the UK market c180,c200,c220,c280 ,c230,c230kand the c36 for that era in time in petrols. Maybe i am wrong

I do not know what sold in the UK only that there was the 202025, 082 and 087 these 3 are kompressors

Right, had a Spanish C200K coupe in my place this morning.

Well, the C200 Kompressor T was sold only in Italy; Greec and Portugal back in 1997. Buy the way another day I saw a CLK 200 with a 6 speed gear box. I dont remember the year (was a W208),

The manual boxes on the 208 are 716.622 or 716.627 these must be the 6 speed

the 209 uses 716.228 and 717 .4 so that 4 or 6 speed
