Clk270
Hi, I'm brand new to the forum and due to an issue with my car I've attached a fault code sheet to seek some help :(

After a long journey my clk270 seemed to go into limp mode and wouldn't change gear, it was also making a whining noise...

I've took it to a garage and I've attached the outcome, any help would be much appreciated!!.. thanks in advance!..

Welcome to the forum

Looks like you need a new electroplate/speedsensor in the gearbox. Along with fresh ATF and filter, somewhere around £400 at an MB independent workshop.

Where are you located, someone may be able to suggest a good place to take it.

Looks like the speed sensor on the electroplate.

Get a good indie, should be 4-500 including an ATF and filter change.

+1 for the electrical plate.

Why did the garage not tell you what was wrong with it.

Exactly what I thought. Having the right equipment but not interpreting them would concern me.

They suggested a brand new gearbox or a refurbished one because the current one seems to be slipping but looking at previous threads on here, that seems quite extreme... they said it could just be the electroplate but it would be a risk...

Post where you are somebody will recommend a Indy near you,the electroplate is a good bet,at least you have the fault codes quiet often you get problems with the box but no firm faults

Didnt I read somewhere that the hall sensors can be replaced rather than the whole plate?

Did they check the oil level?
