Can I fit a universal oil cooler ie air cooled to my w211 320cdi as has the problem leaking coolant into the gearbox.. ??does this cause any other probs and is this easier than replacing the whole rad ... cheers ..

Yes you can. Alot of the guys on the American forum have done this. I will be doing the same on my E55 AMG just in case.

The only one i have seen is from the US. One guy just cut the pipes and used push fittings the other bought one that hooks straight up to the old pipes.

I want one that is neat and hooks up to the old pipes but am yet to find it.
