Gl comand unit resarting its self

Hi everyone , new member here having problems with my gl comand unit, it keeps restarting itself over and over again, what iv found is if I keep pressing the nav disc eject button and put the disc in again it will work untill I turn the car off, it's driving me nuts , I can't turn it off or use any of the buttons on the unit . Is there anyone in the midlands area that can fix these units or will travel to get it resolved.

Have you tried pulling the fuse out for the command unit? This may reset the unit. Had similar problems with my R class.

Thanks for the reply, when it first did this I removed the fuse and yes it worked ok for a while, it's now every time I start the car, it's driving me nuts . Restarts it's self over and over again , loads the merc logo , screen loads radio mode then restarts again.

Sorry the fuse was the extent of my knowledge. Like the GL. Was thinking of getting one but went for the R class in the end.

What is that structure in the background? I was thinking advertising of some sort or alien landing.

I was down in Woking so took a picture of my car at mclaren F1 , I had been over to get a reverse camera fitted so took the chance of getting this picture

Ok I have left the sat nav disc out the command unit for a few weeks and it now works ok. I think it has the to be sat nav reader that is faulty, just thought I would post incase it helps anyone else with the same problem
