GL350 BlueTEC - Just pulled the trigger...

Have been offered a part ex value on the D4, but I think it's fairly average (as is to be expected), so literally just marketed it this week and will put on Auto Trader this weekend so hopefully will throw a little bit more into the coffers, but it's not a great time of year to be offloading c£21k's worth of car

Didn't know that Disco's were that robust on depreciation now. £21K for an almost six year old one with 90K miles is a lot to pay imho.

Not trying to make any point, as obviously people are buying them at this price. I was just surprised they hold their prices that well, as to me it doesn't seem to represent good value for money. Admittedly I'm out of touch, as I gave up the cycle of buying new RR's 5 years ago and they used to shed a lot more money than this :)

Have fun with the new car. :thumb:

cheers, Steve

Steve, it's a fair point, the Disco is a funny beast, they seem to lose a fair amount sharpish then have a fairly flat depreciation curve.
Also, our one is a very good HSE spec with some very nice toys, moreso than I had in my RR, so I guess that helps.
To be fair, with a private plate, unless you are a LR geek, you really wouldn't think it's nearly a 6 year old car :)

She's here.....

Better write up to follow later :)

Looks really nice, and great that you got to use it in appropriate weather conditions too! :)

It's not bad if you like that sort of thing.

Only joking BC. It looks the part. I hope it's been worth the wait. Enjoy. Post a little review when you get a minute.

Very nice BC

Pity it's not an RRS though ;) :D

:D
My initial impressions are it's better than my RRS1, seriously very impressed ;)
Won't be as good off road clearly, but on a 200 mile trip last night, it was super smooth and very quiet, almost eerily quiet.

Definitely got to get used to the size of it though :o
