Just to add to this thread. I recently replaced all 4 tyres on my 2019 glc 350 coupe. It came with Matador tyres all round , fronts were 103w not XL . Rears were 105y XL. This was in aug 2023 , no issues with crabbing at all . Me being me , decided on a more reputable brand of tyre and fitted Goodyear eagle F1 . Fronts 105w XL, rears 107y XL , this is in October 2023. Crabbing is now very obvious, something I knew nothing about before buying the 4 matic . But I certainly do now . !!!
It doesn't need to be full lock for it to happen either . If things get too bad , I'd be tempted to put the Matador non XL back onto the fronts and see if it goes away . A change in driving style is maybe all is needed , less turning circle with more manoeuvres maybe ?
