Hi, When I play tracks in my 2017 GLC, They play fine till Ive played several tracks and then a message comes up to say The USB Memory is not readable and nothing else plays, pull out the memory stick and reinsert it and it plays from the beginning again no problem, till it gets a few tracks along and the same thing happens again. It’s not the memory stick at fault, I have tried 3 different ones. I went to Mercedes today and they said it would cost £235 +Vat to investigate the problem. Any ideas, Thanks.

Try checking the car settings say for instance have you asked the car to play a particular album or group of songs as I seem to remember the system retains last settings even when the stick is removed and reinserted, I’m going from memory of a previous car.

I save music to my memory stick in folders for each artist using iMac.

£235 plus VAT sounds steep to investigate but I guess dealerships are so busy even at their prices that they don’t want to get can you just jobs.

I must admit though that I use Mercedes in Norwich and have booked my car in with them for work including the last time when they investigated an issue for me and there was an update for the hybrid battery and I requested they do an update called freshup or similar and there was no charge.

Hi Robin thanks for your reply, I didn’t think about checking to see if it has retained tracks somewhere, I’ll look into that when I have a moment, I also like your suggestion about saving them to albums, I could try that to see if certain albums are causing the fault. Thanks again, will get back to you if that’s the answer. Harry
