GLC Battery replacement - registering a new battery with the ECU

As far as I can tell, if I replace the starter battery in my GLC with a new one I need to register the new battery with the ECU.

Does anybody know of a (reasonably-priced) diagnostic device (either handheld or PC-based) that I could use to do this?

Answering my own question....

I contacted my local MB Dealer and asked the service department. The answer was that it is not necessary to register a new battery with the ECU in a GLC.

So there you go....

Sometimes the windows and sunroof need resetting, but usually it's a straightforward swap.

Yes, I was planning on using a memory saver device whilst doing the swap so might get away without that too if all goes well.
