glow plug light problems

I have a 98 202 model.c250td.After a cold spell last week.my glow plug light started playing up.turn the ingnition on the light would come on for correct period go out. i would start the engine and the light would come on again.and stay on for around 30 seconds while driving.the engine is misfiring untill warm.i have changed all 5 glow plugs and starts up ok.but the glow plug light won,t go out at all.i think the problem is perhaps the glow plug control relay.i would appreciate other opinions.

Sounds like a bad connection to one of the plugs.

Check there is power to all of the plugs from the relay on the inner wing, and that all the cables are good.

Hi brunspeed,

Were there any problem replacing the plugs? I have just heard that there could be problems (breaking in while taking them off).
