Hello All,

does anyone know of a franchised main dealer that offers great service and customer service?

Not bothered about the location just the service levels.

Also what are these main dealers like for courtesy cars? Are they all A150 Classics or smarts? (no offence to owners of these vehicles!)

cheers

Mercedes Benz of Weston-super-Mare are very good imho.

Known them for about 4 years now..

Tony Purslow Guildford. A view supported by many on this forum if you do a search for 'Tony Purslow'

Hughes of Beaconsfield IIRC and i personally recommend Mercedes Tamworth...

I've used Tony Purslow Basingstoke and they seemed good to me, no complaints.

Merc dealers come in for a lot of stick on the forums, not all of it undeserved I'm sure. However, as my other car is a Fiat, I've experienced disinterested, second-rate service that would be difficult to top...

Cheers,

Gaz

I have always been more than satisfied with Mercedes-Benz of Exeter. The Exeter commercial dealership is also first class.

I've never had a bad experience with a Mercedes dealership, having used the dealerships in Truro, Exeter, Bournemouth, Swindon, Basingstoke, and Reading.

I regularly use Tony Purslow at Basingstoke and their service is excellent.

Some of the courtesy cars are base models (as you'd expect) but if you request a different class vehicle they will generally do their best to accomodate you.

I use Pentagon Mercedes at Southampton. Very helpful indeed and prices seem pretty OK given the general level. Nice to do business with. And today, had a B service and the loan car was a brand new C class estate AvantGarde 180 Kompressor, with leather seats, parktronic etc. Only done 461 miles. I'm quite happy to have an A class though as the legroom is excellent and plenty of space. But I do expect an auto from Mercedes.

Hi Sam
This is a slightly strange question to be asking.

How far do you want to travel to a dealer?

I've never had a smart as a loan car and normally get A or C class from my local dealer who are very good.

Tony Purslow.

Bill any idea when they move into there new premises ?

I should have said that Pentagon are also at Chichester, Portsmouth and Winchester, though I haven't used those branches for servicing.

MB Walsall but not exactly convenient for you!!

Thanks for all the responses, I have had several 'bad' experiences at one of my old local dealers (not that long ago), I was offered either a smart car or nothing.

I dont mind travelling as long as the service is good, afterall this is Mercedes

Thanks to everyone so far

Hi Diesel man,

I just want to experience good service and am prepared to travel, It's just that recently dealers have been given a bit of a bad reputation for service and customer care.

Also smart courtesy cars did exist not so long ago

Which is your local dealer by the way

Cheers

Hi there. Just used my local dealer in Boston, Lincs to carry out a service on my 2002 MB. Courtesy car was a brand new CLK :) . Got the car back at the end of the day, it had been washed and tyres blackened too. Very friendly staff also.

MB Tonbridge have always been very good to me and I recommend them, MB Croydon good mechanical service but the people missed the customer service training course.

MB Harrogate. My last visit was booked to have a brand new C Class, when I got there, got an E270cdi instead. Gorgeous!!

Service etc almost always excellent.
