Just joined the site this morning as I'm doing my homework for my next MB purchase.
I've had W124's in the past, the last one being a 300CE, so I know the Mercs of that era pretty well. I'm now after a good, early R129 500SL. Ideally a pre-airbag and pre-cat one with the M119.
In a previous life, I was an auto electrician and I used to do lots of sub-contract work for a local MB dealer, so I've worked on and driven most models from the '80s to the late '90s.
Originally I was after another C124, but having noticed that R129's are now affordable I thought "Why not?" I've always loved them.
Hopefully I'll be able to glean lots of useful info from you knowledgeable guys and girls, and if there's anything that I can help with then I'll be only too happy to oblige.
