I have a 1995 E320 Coupe, running 18" AMG wheels with tyre size 225/40/R18

I was running Pirelli P Zero Rosso tyres until recently. These were brilliant tyres, but decided to give the Goodyears a try, on the recommendation of a friend. And my goodness they're good! Grip in the in dry excellent, but it's in the wet these tyres really show their advantages. On recent rain-soaked roads, the grip feels just as good as when driving in the dry!

I'd highly recommend these tyres!

In the aforementioned size, they are actually £25 cheaper than the Pirellis, too! The Pirellis were £135 per corner, these Goodyears coming in at £110!

Definitely agree they are great tyres. Did you find them quieter than the Pirellis too?

I have to admit, I've noticed a tad more road noise, but I just turn the music up a knotch ;)

The other good thing I've noticed is that theres an extra "lip" of rubber around the rim, meaning if you scuff a curb, you'll at least scuff the tyre before the precious alloy!

Make the most of them as Goodyear are replacing them with F1 Asimetric's

I have had these on my last 3 cars religiously and absolutely love them.

Not sure they are being replaced as the assymetrical ones have been around for ages too - my tyre guy had no problem getting the v-cuts for me 2 weeks ago when the Audi needed new boots ?

Audi feels like it is on rails, SLK was much improved in them, Skyline loved them (a real 4wd pleaser).

I switched to Eagles F1's and am very pleased with the all-round improvement. Steering feels more responsive, noise levels unchanged, and grip has undoubtedly improved. Independent tests show F1's to be outstanding in the wet - when you most need the grip.
