You can see the detailed maps.. gonna take some time to keep this updated, Nurburgring is not clear, but silverstone is!! bloomin amazing.. so when do we get real live spy images! LOL

I read somewhere that they are expecting to update the maps annually.

Sounds like they update it all the time periodically.... but they dont tell you how often, unless you know more... i've noticed some US people offer new updates to add eg Area 51... I’ve got midlands 1ft approx 50sqmiles I downloaded 4 years ago when street map offered the service... Suddenly disappeared.. just noticed they are using it in the sky newsroom.. on the computer in the background..

I found my apartment block in moscow at the weekend, but unfortunately not the dacha as outside moscow, not so good resolution. Pretty impressive though.

You can actually make out my car on our driveway, I wasted most of my weekend messing around with this.
Go to Madrid and check out the Bernebaeu Stadium, you can actually read Real Madrid on the seats.

You could be on a few maps depending on the dates.. no coverage for my area yet.
Must add to the wish list if it can bring up a date with the map??

I am fascinated by google earth - amazing . I zoomed in on our road and could make out our house & cars on the roadside . Well cool even our teenager was impressed! now thats something

Some area's are well covered with good resolution, others aren't (such a Chester from Andrews post above). Thankfully my house is very clear.

The resolution for most of the UK isn't that great; for example, this is Chester from 12,903 feet, but the way it zooms out, pans across and zooms in on your new destination is very cool
