Well finally picked up th CLS today, what a machine! Definitely notice the difference between standard and Brabus enhanced
Only been getting around 21mpg today tho. I'm sure that will improve
Took a couple of pictures at the stealers but, as usual for the novices, I seem to be having trouble uploading :dk: as soon as I figure it out I'll post.

Its the 3.0 litre diesel grand edition. They say it does 0-60 in 6.5 but wifes 3.0 Z4 (official 0-60 in 5.9) was eating CLS dust today must be something to do with the torque, feels like a jet on take off :D

Welcome to the CLS club

Glad to hear you are not afraid to play with all of that torque....it's kinda intoxicating.:thumb:

Hope you work out how to post pictures soon.;)

Nice car, with Brabus D6 box its nearer 280bhp and a big torque increase from 369ft/lb to nearer 440ft/lb IIRC (i.e. BMW 335D power).

Will munch a Z4 3.0Si

yes welcome to the cls club, they're nimble for a large car.

Thanks for the welcome fellas, I had heard that CLS owners were reluctant to part with them. Now I know why. I look forward to meeting some of you at future meetings. :thumb:

Its basically a 320 cls with a few extras thrown in and a Brabus control box giving an extra 48hp (272hp) and (most importantly for me) taking the torque to 590nm.
18" AMG alloys, leather, comand, xenon headlights there's probably a few other things that slip my mind, but its just the quiet, efficient it gets on with menacing other road users that impresses me :D:D

Seems like you got it all covered there Mactech. Mine was going to be either Iridium silver, like yours, or Obsidian black,(went for the black) not too keen on the palladium silver, looks good in the showroom but I wondered how it would look with a couple of weeks of road grime on it, a bit too grey. BTW can anyone tell me why the "manage attachments" at the bottom of the screen refuses to upload my pictures? I have tried them in bmp and jpeg formats :dk:

I'm sure you are noy trying to exceed the max size, so maybe there is a minimum post count restriction?:dk:

You have to upload the pictures to photobucket or similar web hosting site then create a link to them.....

Sound like a great car..:thumb:

Mark.

That was reasonably painless, thanks again for the help. I only took a couple of pictures when I collected it but I will post some more as soon as I can give her a rinse. Only done a couple of hundred miles but managed to accumulate a couple of hundredweight of mud, thats the trouble with living out in the sticks. Anyway heres the other one.

Cool car, like the boldness of the CLS.

Click the little image button at the top of the editing box, paste in the image URL and the picture will show here :thumb:

Looks great - I quite like the CLS shape and interior :)

Like the colour combo, black with the metal details etc looks smart and the wheels suit it too

Enjoy.
