Grand

Yes that works a treat....nice car

lovely car :) wonder because its bought like that as a grand edition that its unmodified even with with the brabus box :)

Yes, I think so. Certainly the price quoted for insurance doesnt seem over the top. Cheapest from privilege £462 with protected no claims but with tracker fitted. Dearest £1100.03p from Mercedes (underwritten by Aviva)
I've shopped around and think I will be going for Admiral at around £700 no tracker required (would you want your stolen car back?)
The only thing that I am worried about is, can I insist on any repairs to be carried out at a Mercedes repair shop? or do I have to accept my insurers "approved" repairers?

£700? my Cls 55 with admiral is only £412.00 with protected no claims.

I thought it was quite dear, my wifes z4 3.0 ,similar size engine and 2 seat sports car, I would have thought should be more but she pays around £400.
The only thing I can think is that they are factoring in my motorcycle accident when I lost my leg, although the fault was 100% attributed to the other side and all costs recovered and on a seperate insurance policy/company to my car insurance. My wife who is a named driver is conviction and accident free (I also have 3 points for speeding :()
Maybe I should call (these were internet search prices)

I'd put a tracker on that. It's the kind of vehicle that may just get stolen to order. The normal drill is that it is stolen, then parked up for a few days. If no-one finds it,. it's shipped off to its destination. The few days park-up is precisely because the vehicle may have a tracker and may therefore be recovered.

Wouldn't have thought a 3 point speeding offence would affect the premium much; I'd still shop around a bit. Personally, I use Quoteline Direct - a bit like the online comparison sites, except you get to speak to a human being.
