My son is thinking about replacing his graphics card so do not make any hasty decisions.

Hi Mike,
My son tends to get the latest all singing all dancing card, but I then get his old one, then my daughter get's mine. Which will leave a decent graphics card at the bottom of the chain.

I'll have a chat with my son to see what we can give to the author, but I think he is waiting until August to buy his card :o

Hi Mike,
We will eventually have a spare 7800GTX PCI-E 256mb card. My son tells me this card is not quite as good as Chattonmill's.

I have NO idea if this card will work in Nick's computer but :o :o :o I did offer it to him first.

If it's unsuitable for his computer then when my son does the business.... You are more than welcome to it.

Thanks John and everyone else - I couldn't believe how cheap cards have got - anyway I jumped the gun and bought an ATI HD 3850 pro 256 MB.

Just impatient me.... Less than £80 delivered so quite happy.

Probably overkill, the real reason though is so the other half can have the old card and therefore twin monitors.
(notice how I slip in a valid reason for tweaking the PC?!) :)
