grease from window

my drivers side front window was stopping half way, so i put grease all around the edge of the glass now the grease is all over glass and no matter how many times i clean the glass the grease comes back. what can i do, any help please

The problem is that the grease has got right into the felt in the channels. You may need to remove the channel and use a de-greasing agent and work it right into the groove. Failing that you may need to get a new channel completely to get rid 100%

The reason the glass was stopping half way is to do with the mechanism, that will need to be rectified too!
