Just got an E mail from GSF announcing a revamp of their parts website to include a model reg no look up facility a la Eurocarparts. :D Its an improvement from their last effort but they still don't specific the part manufacturer on their web pages which doesn't win them any brownie points from me. :( GSF Car Parts | Discount Car Parts & Cheap Car Spares

And in the spirit of FORUM even handedness ;) Eurocarparts have just opened a branch in PERTH. That's just along the road from the official J R WEIR'S MB dealership for anyone interested. :dk:

I agree and for that reason I no longer use their website. Sometimes even large companies make basic mistakes with their websites - silly really.

I don't use them either simply because you have to register. My time is more important to me than to spend it jumping through their hoops.

I've used GSF for a while, they are more trade focused, but I've found them to be cheaper than ECP for the same products.

I randomly found out that GSF now have a place in Milton Keynes - just up the road from ECP so win win I can try both places and compare.

I prefer GSF to ECP for most bits, but I have to say I am not keen on the recent sway towards sourcing some parts from cheaper far east suppliers rather than the OE/German manufacturers.

VETECH car parts and such like. Stick with Beru/Bosch/Bilstein/Lemforder/ATE etc please :thumb:

Last time I tried to use ECP they sent me a crappy head gasket set for an M102 that I had to return, as the quality looked poor and I had never heard of the manufacturer either. Flakey/papery looking thing, nothing like the OE part at all and even with a substantial discount was more expensive than the pukka part from GSF :dk:
