I think the four of us who were last to leave saw your car leaving.

We spotted the E36 in the carpark.

The trouble with MB world is people go indoors for a coffee and a look around and new arrivals find nobody in the carpark.

We need some way of identifying MBclub people...

MB World is quite a place! I thoroughly enjoyed talking to the hosts around the building about the cars. Its a fanstastic building! I did the find coffee place a little expensive though.. did anyone else?

I was really tempted to have a go at that driving experience in one of those AMGs, but I managed to resist. Will definately have a go next time!

Dash, it was good meeting you.. your kids definatley kept you busy! lol. Im on the lookout for those E500 seats now :)

We could all wear big badges saying ' Hello , my name is Nick ' or something ...

And have 5 gold stars under it ;)

Ah, you guys were there, I arrived around d 10:50 and loitered in the car park watching the kids drive across the road, hey some of those were pretty good drivers lol. Anyway, I didnt see anyone, apart from F3 AMG, distinctive plate so stuck in my head. I guessed you was somewhere else so went into mb world, watched the shows they laid on, came out around 2pm and still ddint see crowds of blokes with mercs so gave up and went home. I think it would be nice if maybe there was a way to identify mbclub owners, saves the embarrasement of asking strangers if they are in the club :)

Even the people who aren't called nick?

What I'll do is next month, take my (hopefully by then signwritten van) and put a bit of A4 on it with a mobile number on it and then anyone who lands and finds an empty car park can ring and track down the main group.

Good idea/bad idea?

Any other ideas?

They give you free coffee when you have your car serviced! :)

But the servicing ain't cheap!

haha, the servicing isnt cheap because the price of the coffee makes up 20% of the service cost! :P

Has anyone had a look at the actual Brooklands race track? I managed to mingle my way into the staff car park to take some pics of the banked circuit! Had a strong nostalgic feeling standing there, its like you can almost hear the racing cars go roaring past. I can't believe that they built those business buildings on the track and TESCO on the other end of it!!!! Good thing whats remained of the track now belongs to the heritage. I rekon if most of the track was still there, mercedes themselves would have salvaged it and would have been racing their AMGs around it.

i keep my eyes open for the seats mate.

i would love to come along next time - are we making it a monthly thing? maybe we should agree to meet at a certain time, and agree to stay in the car park for an hour after that time before we disperse inside, then that gives everyone an hours window to arrive?

I was there from about 11 - 11.30, then had other commitments.
Saw and heard Bobby at the rounderbout entrance to MBWorld on my way out.

So Niks, that E36 was yours. Also saw that red W124 L reg (d w124) on my way out with Andy.

Simon and me were the first to arrive and then Andy . Simon left after we had a few chat.

Yes I agree,we should make this meet like a weekly or a fortnightly event.

monthly would be lovely.

that is great by me,but what the others think?

monthly is perfect! i really cant wait now for the next one so I can finally meet all the rest of you guys.

Just to clear things up and as im sure most of you all know anyway, my "E36" is actually a E280. Im planning to go for a much more feasible E36 look (AMG Gen 2 kit and other interior/exterior mods on the way) rather than my silly previous E500 conversion idea.

Of course though, I dont mind people referring it to as E36 :)
