well that didnt last long!

yep... who knew a W126 cubby box can fit a W123 with a bit of light dremelling!

Note saloon and coupes have different sized boxes.. The box was originally bought for the widebody but as it came from a saloon it didnt fit..

Nice mods there Jay all you need now is the matching burld wood center console inserts to match.

Yep needs wood round the switches and gear knob to finish off

Looks great

hi

glad you got it in OK. Looks good :)

Hi guys,

no the airbag is not operational...

i dont think ill get any more wood... I like it the way it is.. besides W123's never had burred walnut as an option.. most wood trim is zebrano and looks very dated.

Looks good jay, you could always tint the wood to make it a bit darker or go for gloss black :)

Yes im doing that on the widebody.. but nah.. i like it as it is on this...

a touch of wood but not too much..

My '79 280CE had burr walnut, or at least a finish that looked like it. Quite different to the Zebrano I have in my current '84 230E, and nicer in my opinion.
