Car
C63 AMG (2013)
Less than 3 weeks of ownership and DHL reversing into her - gutted :( at least he has admitted and things are in train but obviously fuming when I saw by the chap stayed for me to return to the car which was an amazing gesture as most just leg it.

Bad luck....but at least the guy stayed and admitted to it

Accidents happen, imagine if he hadn't stayed.

Exactly was so surprised he stayed and said that I obviously appreciated that.

Very rare, many years ago I brought my Lotus out of it's overwinter hibernation, fancied some crusty rolls so popped into my local Morrisons to get them, came out and someone had driven into the back of my pride and joy, cost me £1500 for the damage and before the days of CCTV so couldn't trace the 'person' who did it and obviously drove off.

I think my shock was probably more so that he had been sitting waiting so although annoying very appreciative

Every cloud has a silver lining great opportunity to have a carbon rear fitted at the insurance company's expense :)
Nice to see some honesty left in the world

^ He said with no sense of irony...

A few years back, I returned from London by train to find that someone had ripped the front of my car off. The bumper has destroyed and the front of the bonnet was mangled. However, there was a note stuck under the windscreen wiper with contact details. When I phoned, the guy gave me his name, address and insurance information and apologised profusely. He had been reversing his Ford Galaxy in the station car park with his three kids arguing and fighting in the back. He lost concentration trying to control them and drove into my car.

It restored my faith in human nature. For a while, anyway.

I once came back to my car in a supermarket car park to find a big scuff down the side and a note under the windscreen wiper. It said "I'm sorry I hit your car. There are people watching, so they think I'm stupid enough to give my name and address, but I'm not".

I can laugh now, but I could have killed then...

He possibly thought that the car had a dash cam and he was too wary to leg it in case he was filmed leaving the scene of the accident and lost his job.

Still a result though, for you at least.

Kenny

Sad isn't it. Also had the same with the A45 where one on the street reversed into mine and didn't tell but could see from his bumper he had hit me. You should have seen his face when I walked up and knocked on his door - caught out you **** :thumb:

My cynical thought as well Kenny.

Still benefit of the doubt, good to see an honest driver.:)

Pisser mate but atleast it wasn't doors/quarter panel! Same thing happened to me, just a few hours work to remove the bumper and paint (unless he's cracked the bumper)

The bottom bit of the bumper has taken beating or at the edge just over the diffuser so proper pressed / bend there so not sure whether that needs a complete new bumper.

Also just check your stage 3 weistec supercharger is still OK and not damaged in anyway whatsoever that you might need a new one ;) :p
