The Pioneer head unit in the C250 started playing up just before the wedding, so I dropped it off at the local Pioneer service centre last week for diagnosis.
The phone rings today, they've found out what's causing the problem.
"Yes sir, it's the main IC Controller board. Including parts and labour, that'll be £120, sir". I sit in stunned silence for a while, and then kindly ask them to send it to me in writing, as I have a letter to write to Pioneer.

I can get a new one from CAD for £200.
Suffice to say, Pioneer will be getting a missive at the end of the week impressing upon them the need to sort this out. There is no way I'm shelling out over 50% unit cost in repairs after 14 months of ownership
