I'v had my mercedes C180 over 4 months now and it has been the least troublsome car i'v had, My wife and I have had a new fiesta, new peugeot 206, 2 year old 406 they all had problems within 4 months.
.This car is 8 years older and feels younger to drive than the 406 which was 2 years old, plus apart from the heating that doesn't blow hot air through the middle vents which mercedes are going to fix under warrenty, which I bought it in summer so didn't test the heater so think was already faulty, the car has been super. Love driving it and like alot of others love the star on the front.
Mercedes car has lived up to its expectations, and more didn't expect the car to be as good at 8 years old.
Mercedes garage is as sh** as ever, being that I had been with my parents alot to the garage I knew what I was in for being spoke to like c***. They told a guy with a nearly new S600 they cant find the problem with his car, he went mad he said he's been back 7 times in 3 months.

Theyre not supposed to blow hot air thought the centre vents are they ?

Talking to a mate today he was saying he knows someone with a new BMW a week old and it already has several electrical faults with it and the dealer hasn't managed to fix it yet after a couple of attempts.

Had my C class for 18 months (which is a long time for me) during which time it exhiibited no major problems whatsoever. No real minor problems either - just a few niggly little things - more annoyances than faults. 100% reliable though.

Will see if the BMW is up to the same standard ! Sounds like your mate got a friday afternoon car, Mark !

One of the faults were the power windows would not go down,I suppose its was just a dodgy relay or something. It does happen.Dont know what the others were? I bet he's hoping its not going to be like this all the time :)

All the faults my parents have had with there C and A class have all been elecrical. I think electrics let mercedes down from what i'v seen.
