I just stumbled across my invoice for when I had mine done at Colin Ferns.
Labour was £475 + £200 for the head to be reconditioned at a machine shop and then plus the VAT.
So about £800 all in.

After spendiong alot of time researching for a new/rebuilt engine, one thing to look out for is that fact that when you buy a new engine you get and 2-3 warranty depending on the manufacturer. So how can a company give a 5 year warranty on something where even the manufacturer cant. With respect to this I personally would go for the rebuild if necessary, but would question the 5 year warranty
