Evening all ,
I viewed a 2003 ML 270 yesterday , I liked it . The jeep drove well and engine pulled really good .
The low coolant light was light and when I checked the header tank I could the coolant was sitting on the lower line . I carefully removed the header tank lid expecting too feel pressure , but there was none . The engine was warmed , could this be a sign of a failing head gasket ? The oil filler cap was clean ,and on traces of grey sludge . I had a 211 a few years back with the same signs , coolant loss , no header tank pressure and a clean filler cap . The fault was indeed the head gasket .
Should I walk away and find another Jeep ?
