Hi, just bought my first MB a 2000 CLK 320. Wondered if anyone knows where I can get some plastic lens protectors to stop stones breaking my xenons ? Thanks

I'd be interested to know too for when I get my C Class Sports Coupe :bannana:

I have them on my current car (not Merc!) as in the past I've had stones break the plastic lense 'glass'. Of course, when I was a child you'd just buy a new cover, not now 'Sir', you have to buy the whole darn light unit! I also broke the 5p skinny bit of plastic that retains the glove box when open. Stupid me thought you'd just be able to buy the bit of platstic - about10cm long and 0.5cm wide, probably cost 5p. No 'Sir', you have to have the whole glove box door, £66.00 +VAT, yeah right, nice one!

Anyway, I've digressed. On the W203, can you get new lense 'glass' for a broken light or like most cars do you have to get the whole unit? Presumably this would be expensive if you had a chipped Xenon - any ideas how much?

Bring on the clip on covers (please)

You will get more feedback / response in the bodywork section :)

according to the US EPC the headlight is one unit for the CLK and the 203 series C class

the CL is also the same (poo- mine has a chip) but the S class W140 has a separate lens.

They don’t seem to do ones for your model, but I got mine from Euro Car Parts.

You could mail them and ask.

Here

I think it’s frowned upon in here though, having headlamp covers = Uncool

Never seen any covers on the CLK?
