Okay I have done a search, didn’t find exactly what I was after,

Two things,

1) Does anyone have the part number for a replacement lens, (left side)? I have a feeling if I replace one; the other is going to look off, so maybe 2 part numbers needed right and left. thanks

2) That yellow chunk of plastic that runs around the inside of the light, I understand that can be removed? Apparently it’ll give the lens a much improved clean look? Anyone tried it? Any pictures about?

Thanks again

Shiraz

Is your car pre-facelift, or facelift ? If pre-facelift, I have a brand new passenger side glass in my garage - bought in error, as my car was facelift.

Let me know if you are interested ... yours for £35. Doesn't help you with the broken one though ... try eurocarparts for that !

the yellow bit is not 'standard' on any W202 I have seen

That thing is supposed to be grey, not yellow :)

my car is pre-facelift (but its full facelifted now :) )

I doubt you changed the headlights though ! Facelift cars have fixing clips / screws in different places to the pre-facelift, where the glass meets the light housing.

The UV givern off by the bulbs most likely caused the yellowing, this was a common problem with Mk1 Mondeo's & their headlights.

And the bootlid has been replaced with the 'Creased' one? :)

alright alright, calm down! :)

so has no one here removed this plastic thing from inside the lights?

No, but I'm sure on my Xenons it's a chrome/reflective colour. Might be worth trying to emulate that - looks better.

I have heard of people wrapping that item in chrome film, on the 190E. Looked good!

hmmm, chrome... would look good actully. but'll stick out to the rest of the light dnt you think?

some one try it for me lol

Bearing in mind that the rest of the reflector is basically mirrored I think it'll look fine. Think it'd look worse than off-white? :)

Like I said, I have a passenger side glass, brand new, in Bosch box, that will fit your car.

Will check the part number on it tomorrow for you.
