My offside headlight has been misty/steamed up since we had the first fluttering of snow before Christmas. I called my local Mercedes Benz dealer, who asked me to bring it in, for them to take a look.
After waiting 3/4hr one of the service team came and told me I would have to come back so they could have the car for an hour!! I was then told as the headlight was an unsealed unit and the fogging may disappear if they left the car running for the hour. Is it me or am I being fed horse s**t?
I don't understand why they couldn't of done what was needed in the time they had already had the car! Anyway, as I was agitated by the bulls**t I haven't bothered returning but my headlight has not changed, it is still misted up, (it is not damaged by the way).
How should I now approach the garage as I'm sure it needs a new unit, which they are obviously trying to avoid doing?
Sorry for the long rant but I'm disappointed with being treated like an idiot by a premium marque garage.

As it says in WIS misted headlamp is not a fault and not considered for repair or warranty claims.
Check the rear cover is properly attached, check the vent tube is clear.

Leave a heavy coat or blanket over the headlight with the engine running and the headlights on full it will clear in no time.
