so took the 320 cdi for a free health check this week
only 6 faults from memory
1. malfunction on screen £141 incl
2. v belt perished £130ish
3 front pads low £ 300+
4 wear on both track ends ...£808 incl
5 ball joint dust cover split £500 + incl
6 rear sping broke .............£400 +incl
cannot remember all exact prices except 1 and 4 but total came to 2296 pounds
808 pounds for 2 track rod ends and tracking !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
are merc supplying solid gold track rod ends now how th f**k can that be correct it is a 2-2.5 hr job

i priced all the bits from euro car parts came to 96 pounds trade !

Just look at it as a free diagnosis,now find a wallet friendly independent specialist.

Some of these jobs are trivial and do not require anything like the £££££££s quoted.
There's a lesson here !
