heated seats installation

i have a w203 saloon pre facelift and am in the process of adding heated seats. i have the seats with the element from a car with factory leathers, but i need to install the wires switches ect, what parts do i use? i am guessing i need the loom, from the seat to where ever it goes, and switches for the dash is there any other parts i require and what are the nessacary part number/s for the wiring loom and the switches? any help and advise would be appreciated. regards merc man

The wiring loom (it does both seats) is A203 540 30 05 - arond £30 - I think it connects to the seats, the fusebox (power) and the front SAM (control) - not 100% sure though

The switches is a different matter :-) That row of switches which sometimes includes the heater switches is one block. Given the combinations possible theres about 50 possible part numbers :-)

If I was changing mine i'd find one with *all* the switches - but my friendly dealer was to busy for me to try and work out what part that may be. I can guess that the price is astronomic, so head down the breakers yard if I was you.

The wiring harness goes from the switch row to the floor. It gets ground from a connection point in the floor and has a fuse at the end of the dashboard.

Thanks - I presumed it was more clever than that !
