Just bought my first merc,a 1986 500 sel lwb a bit moth eared few rust holes etc, silver, cloth, 135k FMBS (hopefully true)

just wondering if theres anything i should look out for (now i ask after buying)

does anyone know where to find two front wings and what sort of price?

Best bet is to try trawling through various ebay sites i.e UK, Germany. I have managed to source quite a few good secondhand parts for my 450 SEL.

Or if you want new but don't want to pay dealer prices try Euro Car Parts or GSF.

been on the phone, europarts dont carry much, not even wiper blades, they had wings at 150 a piece, a local motorfactors has came in at 90 vat included for the wings

As others have suggested you may wish to try some breakers for the wings / any other parts...
