Hi all
I recently bought my first Mercedes and have just joined the community.
In May i got rid of my E90 325i and went for a 2008 E320 CDI facelift which i saw advertised by specialists Mercland down in Nuneaton. I wanted something bigger and better than my 3 series and had always fancied a W211 in the right spec. My E320 had only covered 52000 miles when i bought it and is in great condition for it's age, which immediately made me fall for it.
I am really thrilled with the car as a whole package. I especially love the 3.0 V6 diesel and 7G tronic gearbox which makes for unbelievably smooth and fast progress. It's also my first ever diesel, so the torque feels fantastic to someone who's come from a naturally aspirated petrol. I used to think i would miss the sound of the bmw but the CDI sounds brilliant, especially with the Windows down
In terms of luxuries, it's brilliant too. My car has COMAND, sports seats and bluetooth which i know they don't all have. The seats are amazingly supportive and great for long drives, which is a big plus. The storage space is extremely handy for me with a massive boot to carry all my golf equipment in ( a department in which the 3 series severely lacked).
Overall I'm incredibly happy with my choice and all of my colleagues and friends approve. Some people might say an E class is an old man's car but i disagree. I'm 23 and i adore it.
