Hello everyone - new Merc owner slk230

I have just bought my first Merc and sports car if you discount the clapped-out 1.6 Mk2 Capri I bought as my fist car.

Obviously, my SLK is not new and was first registered October 2002, however, with only 28k miles on the clock and a service history confirming the mileage from one lady owner it seemed too good to pass up. I hadn't meant to buy such an old car but it looks so new and I was very happy with the performance on the test drive.

I was hoping to pick it up this Saturday but sadly it has been moved to next Saturday. Can't wait!

I have a couple of not very good pictures of my car. Apologies for the boat pictures, I know this is the wrong forum for those.

You need to check the wiring loom at the front of the engine for oil ingress asap.

I am very pleased to report that the garage I bought my car off agreed without quibble to look at the problems I was having and have just bought it back fully working. They needed to change a wheel sensor and the 'dreaded' electronics in the boot too.

Now I am very happy again as I was fearing having to take it to a Mercedes garage to fix at my cost :bannana:
