Mercedes Benz W202 C-Class Sport
Hi all,

Just recently joined this forum as i now have a 1998 W202 C-Class 200 Sport, silver with silver leathers, absolutly standard and genuine car (original).

Looking to keep it that way, however with some minor modifications such as AMG Monoblocks, a little lower to make it look right and a sound system upgrade but nothing silly, more for incar entertainment.

Anyone got anything of interest for me, please let me know

Hello and welcome.

Yes... pictures are required. :D

Hello.
I had H&R springs on my 202. Available from PCS (Prestige Car Service), search on here.

Pictures as requested, i only have these two on my phone however after a good clean i will take more.

How you doing mate (met you during the corrado days - well the end of mine but the start of yours lol).

Car looks tidy.

welcome to the forum, great looking car, looks well cared for. enjoy!
Thank you for your comments, i can say it has been well cared for, it holds a full MB Service history, only two owners from new. Interior is brilliant, and i don't think there are many knocking around in the color combination i have with the interior.

vbachetta keep your eyes peel'd for Blue water meet's.

Tony.
Hi, Thanks for the heads up, i will certainly keep a look out for them, but keep me posted if you know of any.

Yes indeed you did, i thought it was you but wasnt sure.

Thanks for the comment, i have only had it since March so not really done anything to it. I just love the drive and comfort as it is, of course i would like to make it nice but im not in a rush so will be doing this correctly but slowly.

Buddy, talk to me about those springs you got, i can see they not moving but i want to be sure they are right for my car and we could have a sale. Let me know.

Cheers

Not much to update, just another picture of it nice and clean and in all its glory!

Just a quick update on this. Since my last post on here i have had th follwoing carried out/fitted/replaced,

4 x OEM spec Michelin tires
full 4 wheels lazer allignment
Water Pump
Small and big Service - I have clocked up 28k miles so its only right.
Full new steering rack to include rods ends
full 4 wheels lazer allignment again after the above was carried out.

This week i will be having the follwoing work done,

4 x H&R 40MM sport spring set up
all new nuts, bolts, and bushes for the suspension
9mm Spring pads/Shims

Hopefully this should give me a subbtle drop on the ride hight but not quiet the boy racer slam.

UPDATE - April 2015

So i have the car lowered on 40mm H&R springs using the 9mm spring shims all round. Unfortunatly that didnt work as well as i expected it to. The rear completly sank and i didnt like the way it sat. After speaking with my machanic, i decided to remove the rear 9mm shims and revert back to the 13mm ones, this leveled the car out perfectly and sits great. No wheel to arch gap, the handling is much better and its certainly much more of a joy to drive. The front shims are 9mm. Results below, feel free to send me comments or any questions, fire away.
