Evening to anyone reading this. Just bought my first Merc, a 2000 model CLK320 auto ********** (spelling!). Got it as a replacement everyday car since my other car is a little bit silly for everyday use.
Anything I need to be aware of to check apart from rust which mine has very little of.
Will post up some pictures once I pick it up next week. Not looking to modify it really as its an everyday car although some of the Eiselman exhausts sound nice on U Tube!

I'm fairly new on here myself, but welcome to the world of MB cars! :)

Welcome to the board, I'd just been looking at a couple of CLK320's of the same period myself today, though the first one I looked at was absolutely dreadful!

I'll have to keep looking.

Welcome, from another CLK320 owner.

Welcome, I have 208 CLK320, although the Cabrio version.

I love it, great engine, just keep an eye out for the dreaded rust.

I am also a 208 cabro owner and it still makes me smile :-) Welcome!

I had a 320 CLK , now have a 430 CLK , love them both ...

Best thing to do ( if you can ) is get it to a dealer or indy with a STAR machine , and get the codes read first. Will give you an idea of where to start ( if anything ) ....

Cheers for the replies, as far as getting codes read...? the dash says no failures or something like that and my cousin has worked for MB for years so its off to him once I have it to get the gearbox and diff oils changed along with anything else we see whilst its up on the ramps. Might take the opertunity to spray some wax oil in the hard to reach places then to.

The dash wouldn't tell you for example if the MAS was on the way out , but getting the codes read would. The dash computer will tell you about obvious things , like lights not working , problems with the brakes etc , but not the technical things.

Got any pictures ?
