Help -Instrument Panel lighting

The instrument panel lighting on my C250 turbo diesel estate (1998) has gone down on the LHS of the central consul incl. heating controls, glove box etc. How do I mend ??

Have a Haynes manual but not alot of use on this problem.

i had same prob on mine, check all fuses. if have dimmer switch, dont know your model, but if do twiddle it, mine ended up with the live wire shorted out somewhere so had to get circuit box under dash re-wired at auto-elecs
