Opened my rear passenger door this morning to get the child seat out, I was a little rough with the handle, didn't wait for the keyless bit to do it's thing unlocking the car but it opened somewhat awkwardly!
When I closed the door it bounced back, tried many times messing with the locks, keyfob and the actual lock trigger in the door.
What I do know is if I stick my finger in the door latch and push the trigger to the first lock point it isn't there, only second lock works with the door open but not if I slam it shut!
So have I broken the lock unit which I believe cost over £200??
Can I buy a used one from someone?

Compare the “jaw” of the opposite door to that of your faulty door while both doors are open, do you see any diffrence between both doors?

Chunky screwdriver is your friend!

Both door locks are the same on each side, I have slackened off the latch on the rear arch and brought it forward, the door now locks (rear door slightly out of line) but still have no 1st latch.
So when you close any door with not enough force it rests half inch open on the first latch as I call it, it can't open unless you used the handle, my rear door simply doesnt have that now, if I close the door I can push it open without the door handle, but now after adjusting the rear arch latch I can lock the door and the door wont push open?
Anymore ideas are very much welcome?

Put the latch on the rear arch back the way it was… you can compare its original position with the opposite door.
Spray the jaw of the lock with WD40 or penetrating oil and try operating the internal door opening lever inside the door.

Sorry to hear about your problem the same happened with me on the rear passenger door, tried all the other remedies but had to change the lock unit cost me 320euro to buy and change it myself best of luck

Was it a hard job to replace? my indie has said its not an easy job, they said they will have to drill out the rivets for the window regulator or something to get to the lock, think they want to charge 4 hours?
