Car
Now have my E320 cdi
hi
been having problems with my car starting, narrowed it down to air getting in to fuel system and loosing pressure. thing is i have had to use the car, and in order to get it started it takes quite a few turns and terrible noises before it starts. now that i know what was caursing the problem, i was going to get the new feul pipes next week and fit them. but got out to the car today, went though some of the starting process and all a sudden its completly stoped turning over and just make a spinning noise. i think i may have buggerd the starter. any help please:wallbash:

sounds like somethinks spinning, engine not turning over

Sorry to hear that. Do you think the 'terrible noises' from before could be related?

Either the teeth of the flywheel gear and/or the starter pinion have stripped, or the pinion solenoid has failed and is not throwing the pinion into mesh with the flywheel.

There is a fairly recent thread on here on this very subject.

im for sure the terrible noises from before have got somethink to do with it, because of the issues i have been getting with the fuel not getting to the place it needs to on time, because of this i have more than lightly caursed some problem to somethink els. ile look for the threads
