Collected my Daughter from school this afternoon, went to restart the car and the EML light stayed on. Got home and checked it on my ELM 327 (its not the best but its what I have got) and got the following Code P0102 Mass or Volume Air Flow Circuit Low Input.

What I am unsure about is that I have no symptoms for a faulty MAF. It starts ok hot and cold, no rough Idle, No loss of kickdown. I disconnected it and it ran just the same as connected. Car is not running in limp mode.

I am not saying the MAF is not at fault but before I just go out and by a new one I wanted to check with you guys if you think it could be something else. As I have read that some people have done this and it has made no difference.

Can I just add I am no mechanic, using what info I have found on the forums to relay this to you.

I have no other codes coming up.

Advice please, and also are the ECP Mafs ok.

Thanks

I literally just picked my B Class W246 180 CDI up from garage, was in with EWL, they found a Z Link connected to the DPG was sending the wrong voltage causing it to burn off too often (according to garage) which triggered it into limp home mode.

Garage implied it was a manufacturing fault and it was covered by warranty so all sorted with new loom apparently

Dont know what codes were but they said there were 3, one of which was triggered by the other

Thanks for the info but I just have the one code showing, Going to do a Maf clean tomorrow to see if it helps. Has any one had good results from doing this or is it just a temp fix if it works.
