Need a little help form those who are a bit more tech savvy than me.

Setup is as follows;

Belkin wireless router/ modem situated in my office at home (on 2nd floor). This works great for most of the house but i have some black spots where i can't get reception should i choose to work in a different room (don't ask why i need to work elsewhere)

So, now i have in my possession a belkin wireless access point, and a belkin wireless router.

What would be the best option with the equipment i have to ensure i have perfect reception throughout the house? Any help would be appreciated.

If memory serves me well, it is just a matter of setting the AP into repeater mode, this from memory is an option on the AP and the router, think you had to put the MAC address of the other device into the one you are configuring, this must be done to both. To be honest I just followed the instruction manual.
Once configured you can leave the router where it is, and place the AP where it can get signal, anf thus increase the range to your blackspots.

Regards Paul.

thanks drifting...

found the user manual for the equipment today.. will try to decipher it all tommorow.

That provided that the router will talk to the AP ! If you start to get into the "these products dont talk to each other " issues swap you belkin router for a belkin pre N router the radio range is _much_ improved !!
