Symptoms sound similar to those which affected my car when the intercooler pump failed, although I've never heard it be a problem on a 230K engine. With the intercooler pump it's temperamental - feels like it's cleared, but comes back.

More likely the MAS/MAF sensor. It's a usual suspect for so many problems!!

Agreed I'd go along with that Rob. The same thing happened to my car 18 months ago, (performance spasmodic drop off), and it turned out to be the intercooler pump that had fiailed. Couple of hundred quid later all sorted .

If you arehandy with spanners, it's not a hard job, least not on my car.

Po243 A/F SW.over Actuat.F.Compr.m16/7

Fault cleared and then drove for 10 mins and fault back

No idea what the fault is!

P0243 is turbo actuator.

Probably the secondary air flap unit.

Still don't know what fault is though!
