Hi folks

Just quickly introducing myself. I've just picked up a c63 and am sure that information is going to have to be extracted from you lot. I'm no stranger to modifying cars and, having been a Mod on a couple of other forums, no stranger to forums either. However, I am a complete noob to Mercedes.

All my previous cars have been Minis, the last of which was a track toy - this is my idea of a more sensible daily (More sensible than a fully caged track car with no heating anyway!). But just because its sensible doesn't mean I'm not going to tweak it a bit :thumb:

So, my car is a non PPP car with a standard diff so my first jobs are going to be Quaiffe LSD, remap and KW Clubsports I think. Anything else I should be considering?

Look forward to getting to know you all.

My old car for those interested

Hi and welcome pal nice choice of car. My recommendation is to speak to acid at msl performance so many speak so highly of him I recently met him and he's the most polite and knowledgable person on these cars you could meet as well as some of the lads on here

Were you on MT? I used to go on there years ago when I had a mini. There's a lot of potential with c63s if you like modding them.

Another for MSL here, but it depends on your location really, as they're based in Birmingham. Other highly knowledgeable and recommended tuners are available on the forum.

Good choice with the Quaife by the way, should be made compulsory on AMG cars. There's sometimes a group buy on them, may be worth a chat with Paul at Eurocharged? (Savman on here)

Oh, and welcome. :)

Cheers for the welcome folks.

Yes I was on MT, small world even on the internet these days!

Birmingham is ideal if that's where a renowned tuner is based, only an hour or so from me. Agreed on the Quaiffe as well, lovely bits of kit for a road car.

If Birmingham's good for you then MSL Performance is where you want to be heading. :)

These guys have done most of the Weistec supercharged AMG's on here, also my Bi-Turbo and several others as well. Good company with good and friendly staff.

+1. You can't go wrong visiting MSL. Good bunch of guys as well as specialists with AMG's.

See if you can get a ride in Acid's 800+BHP C63. Doubles as the company courtesy car too:eek:

Welcome to the forum:thumb:

There are a few cheeky little mods you can do on a C63

Like others have said depending on where you are based speak with MSL

Welcome, Lovely car, looked at one and heard that engine for the first time last week :)

What I would call not ideal conditions considering I've just jumped from FWD 260bhp to RWD 450bhp!! Having a lot of fun today :thumb:

Also if anyone can point me in the right direction, any reason I can't start a project thread? Just trying to not clog up the introduction area as I know that's not really what this bits for!

Sorry still figuring this forum stuff out. I see your old ride

Haha noooo, you wouldn't catch me dead in a VXR! The mini was good fun though, it logged 0-60 in 4.9s and 30-70 in 3.8s when it was running properly so safe to say I had fun surprising a few cars on the road!

Plans wise Im speaking to MSL about a remap and diff initially then I'll go from there. Who knows what else I'll end up doing!

Haha that was a mighty mini! Did you take it to Santa pod? My mates mk1 golf hit 12s with similar power from a 20v turbo
Sounds good. Let us know how the mods go.

That's how I started a simple call to MSL for a Re-map lol

Well that bodes well! I definitely won't be Supercharging this one though, too many heat problems with that route.

Not at all IAT,s stay pretty low, and if it's a VMax event etc then you can have a Ice Tank installed.
I will be installing a killer chiller in mine (when I get time, the parts are sat in the garage in a box) which keep the IAT,s really low. Which gives you instant power all the time and no heatsoak whatsoever.
